Hanmi Pharm has published a "2019-20 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report based on Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standard, an international standard for sustainability report and posted it on its website (www.hanmi.co.kr), a company spokesman said on May 13.
As the importance of corporate social roles has recently emerged, many companies have been pushing to publish GRI Standard-based sustainable management reports, while Hanmi Pharm was the first Korean pharmaceutical company to publish a CSR report in 2018. Hanmi Pharm then published a total of three consecutive reports until 2019 and 2020.
This year's CSR report of Hanmi Pharm consists of topics such as "R&D Management for New Challenges," "Challenges for Customer Satisfaction Management," "The Value of Respect for Ethical Management," "Human Resources Management," "Healthy and Safe Business Sites," EHS Management, shared growth, and win-win management.
Hanmi Pharm has decided to actively participate in the implementation of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) implemented by the UN and the international community, while regularly visualizing its non-financial information with the publication of CSR reports every year and releasing it on its website.
An official of the Korea Standards Association, who conducted a third-party verification of the report, said, "Hanmi Pharm is Korea's leading R&D-focused pharmaceutical company that focuses on creating global new drugs, and it is implementing CSV strategies that pursue corporate values through R&D and create social values based on them."
He added, "We hope that the publication of this report will actively inform stakeholders of the ESG performance of Hanmi Pharm, and take a step forward in achieving global sustainable development goals."
Meanwhile, Lim Jong-ho, executive director of Hanmi Pharm's CSR team, said, "As a pharmaceutical company that fulfills its social responsibilities, the core and goal of sustainable management are new drug development and R&D. We will create a virtuous circle in which innovative results generated by continuous R&D can lead to the realization of social values."
