Com2uS announced on May 27 that it will host all competitions of the global e-sports competition "Summoners War World Championship 2020 (SWC 2020)" online without spectators.
This year's SWC 2020 will be held online for the first time without spectators for the safety of players and spectators due to the prolonged COVID-19.
Com2uS has unveiled its plans and future schedules through announcements and official community sites in the Summoners War game.
Applications for players can be made through the SWC 2020 application page, which is scheduled to be released at the end of June.
Qualification competitors will be selected from among applicants based on their respective season results for World Arena Season 12, which is a real-time PvP content between users of Summoners War, and Season 13, which is currently underway. The competition will start in August and run for about four months.
The entire competition, including regional qualifiers, will be broadcast live on the Summoners War e-sports YouTube channel so that global e-sports fans can watch the matches of the players in real time.
Meanwhile, SWC, which marks its fourth anniversary this year, was launched in 2017 and is being held for all regions of the world, and has established itself as a representative global mobile e-sports competition.
It has shown high growth in every episode thanks to the support of e-sports fans, and proved the explosive popularity of mobile e-sports, with the World Final held in Paris last year recording 1.25 million views during live broadcasts alone.
