According to a DMC survey, 83.6 percent of Korean use SNS now. SNS (Social Networking Services) are mostly web based services to build relations and network by sharing interests among people. As it gets easier to access the internet with WiFi or WiMAX, SNS are more popular. People want to consistently share everything via SNS such as Metoday, Facebook and Twitter.
The survey showed that in SNS uptake, in terms of sex, females represent 84.3 percent, 1.8 percent higher than males, 82.5 percent. Considering ages, order-to-utilization goes like this, 20's, 30's and 40's.
An interesting result came out. Potential users gaze at Twitter as their SNS potentially for socializing and contact management. The popularity of Twitter is because it is the trend socially and it also has an open structure.
Besides, even though the engagement of nations for SNS is very high, most of them are light users, the average use in a day is less than an hour.
