New Layout

The first and easiest feature to see is that we have a completely redesigned the web site layout. Gone is the page full of boxes and the vertical right-side menu. It has been replaced by a vertical menu at the top and a more open and spacious design of the text. It was designed with the maximum amount of readability in mind, and hopefully is more clear and easy on the eyes than the previous version.

The ox started the day early with its master to help him farm and ended the day at dusk, or whenever its master was done. The umbilical cord or the "lifeline" is the cellphone and the secretive cryptic connection method is SMS text messaging. It is not the only way they connect, in fact, the youth of today is inherently multitasking on multiple platforms from videogames to social networking sites to blogging and instant messaging. Nevertheless, one form of communication reigns supreme, and that is SMS text messaging.

Cheonggyechun, or Cheonggye Stream, is a 5.8km long stream that flows through downtown Seoul into the Han River. This landmark represents a dramatic change and advance of Korean technology. It is very strange to say that a stream has something to do with the evolution of technology in Korea, but it is true. If you look into the history of Cheonggye Stream, you can find out that Cheonggyechun is not a simple stream but a symbol of evolution.

Samsung SDI, a digital display and energy specialist, has recently announced that it has been awarded the Business Ethics Grand Prize, which is hosted by the Korean Association of Business Ethics (KABE).

Samsung SDI is the first recipient of the business ethics grand prize in the electronics and electric industry in Korea. Starting from 2003, the KABE, which is composed of professors of many universities specializing in business management, is giving the Business Ethics Grand Prize to a company that has achieved a high level of corporate ethics and social responsibility.

"Korea is the country that people has sports in their hearts," said Chiharu Igaya, the chairman of IOC Evaluation Commission, at the press conference after concluding the evaluation visit to PyeongChang last February.

The IOC Evaluation Commission cited the tremendous enthusiasm of the citizens, strong governmental backing and a compact venue plan as the strong points of PyeongChang. And they also praised the high quality presentations. PyeongChang completed the evaluation visit successfully, showing its differentiated rationale and legitimacy to the IOC effectively.

On February 15, at the Korea Testing Laboratory located at Guro-dong, Seoul, the Korea Electronics Association held a meeting explaining the Electronic Parts Purchase Plan for 2007. Approximately 140 electronic parts makers participated in the meeting, and five major domestic electronics companies -- Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Daewoo Electronics, Inkel, and Trigem Computer -- presented their production plans and electronic parts purchase plans for this year.
