RFID/USN Korea 2009 clearly depicted every aspect of our lives with RFID and USN technology. Nongshim Data System's (NDS) innovative automatic clothes-counting system suggested maximized efficiency of large scale clothing malls where many different colored clothes are placed in a huge box to be delivered to the mall. Their system scanned color, size, quantity, and model ID in all of two seconds at 100% accuracy.

Anyone interested in robots would have had a blast at Robotworld 2010. The 5 year old expo was where thousands of participants were able to experience firsthand the present and future of robots. Hosted by the Ministry of Knowledge and Economy, Robotworld was held at Kintex, Ilsan from October 28th to 31st.

A number of foreign buyers were present at the Korea Electronic Grand Fair 2010, and there were talks going on between domestic companies and foreign representatives in many of the business center booths.

The Appworld Expo venue showed some of the most innovative and impressive applications to date, with over 20 companies participating. With a user population of over 440 million, smart phones and the application or 'Apps' market, which is what makes smart phones 'smart', is rapidly increasing.


The 3D exhibition was one of the highlights of Korea Electronics Grand Fair 2010. With the 18 attending companies showing off their 3D related products, the exhibition was one of the most colorful and engaging. Exhibitions included a plethora of 3D technology, such as 3D projection hardware, ultra-high resolution 3D projection screens and non-glass 3D displays.

KES 2010 Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony of Korea Electronics Grand Fair 2010 started off with a top class tap dance performance by a tap-dancing crew. As the performance went on, the wide screen at the back of the stage was brought to life with vivid imageries depicting technology. "What a great convergence performance," the host of the ceremony, announcer Lee Se Jin stated after the performance.
