On March 12, Whirlpool Corp. won over the patent dispute against LG electronics in District Court in Delaware. The patents were regarding "an in-the-door ice system for side-by-side refrigerators," according to the companies.  Whirlpool Corp., who manufactures and markets large home appliances, was awarded almost $1.8 million in damages by the jury.

On March 10, the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) fined Korea's two largest airliners Korean Air and Asiana Airlines a total of KRW 11 billion for abusing their market dominance by preventing low-cost companies from selling cheap tickets through travel agencies.  Korean Air was hit with KRW 10.4 billion and rest of the fine went to Asiana Airlines.

The pretty dismal lawsuit by Perfect 10 argued that they both violated copyright law by indexing Perfect 10 photos posted on unauthorized websites. Perfect 10 said, "The pictures can be viewed with Amazon.com search sites A9.com and Alexa.com." Only Amazon.com Inc. settled with Perfect 10 Inc.
