UNESCO officially announced that Ilseongrok, a daily journal kept by kings during the Joseon Dynasty, and the Record of May 18 Democratic Movement, both submitted by Korea, had been newly included in its list of Memory of the World on May 25, local time. The announcement came in accordance with the outcome of the 10th UNESCO Meeting of the Memory of the World International Advisory Committee (Manchester, May 22-25). 2. Korea now has nine historical records on the list of the Memory of the World, including the Hunminjeongeum and Annals of the Joseon Dynasty.
