SEOUL, KOREA ― The Ministry of Environment aims at raising an understanding and development of environmental industry policies and support projects. The Ministry will hold a briefing session at the Seoul Trade Exhibition & Convention on January 31. The event will be held under the auspices by the ministry and under joint supervision of the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute. The Korea Environment Corporation and the Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation will also be present.
The event is held in an attempt to enhancing communication with companies on developing and promoting environmental policies. These lectures will be divided into a presentation and consulting session. During the presentation session, the government's policies on promotion of environmental industries and 2012 support projects will be introduced. At the consulting session, there will be one-on-one consulting booths provided so companies may consult with related institutes with regard to environmental industry support projects.
The Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute will introduce diverse support projects including environmental industry R&D, environment-certification, and overseas business. In addition, the Korea Environment Corporation and the Sudokwon Landfill Site Management Corporation will provide consulting services on supporting export and overseas business. The two institutes will also introduce a bio green energy fund and overseas expansion of waste-related companies respectively.
An official from the ministry said this will strengthen the basics for advancement of environmental industry by enhancing support for environmentally friendly companies.
