In 2005, Samjung Industries Co., LTD established Samjung America Corp, a local subsidiary in Chicago, allowing them to gain a foothold in US export markets. Last year the total revenue from exports was USD 20 million out of the annual revenues of USD 28 million. The current sales ratio of Samjung Industries Co., LTD is as follows; Korea accounts for 20%, North America and Europe 10% and the Middle East 45%. As a result of the overseas expansion, it was awarded a prize from the Korean Prime Minister on Trade Day and as attaining the title of Promising Export Company by Small & Medium Business Administration.
