SEOUL, KOREA – On Monday, SK Planet said that the number of T Store (one of Korea's open-market app store) users subscribing to KT and LG U+ services broke the three million mark.
Since May of 2010, T Store, launched in September in 2009, has offered services to all of the mobile phone users regardless of which mobile operator he or she subscribes to.
In June of 2010, right after its opening to other mobile carriers, the number of T Store users from other mobile carriers stood at a mere 7,000, which then rose to one million in February of last year.
T Store houses a total of 400,000 contents including games, apps, VOD, music, electronic books, webtoons, shopping and vouchers. From February 18 through 23, T Store will offer special discounts (up to 40%) on its eight items including restaurant VIPS salad bar vouchers and MEGABOX weekend movie tickers for couples.
