SEOUL, KOREA - Renault Samsung released SM5 TCE, a high-performance version of SM5. TCE is an abbreviation of turbo charger efficiency. TCE is mounted with Renault Nissan Alliance's state-of-the-art linear spray engine, thereby maximizing the power of its turbo engine and achieving higher fuel efficiency.
The model is equipped with a 1.6-liter engine, first among mid-sized sedans in Korea. TCE features a 1.6 GDi turbocharger engine and German Gertrag's 6-speed dual clutch transmission.
TCE has a maximum output of 190 hp (6000 rpm) and a maximum torque of 24.5 kg.m (2000 rpm). The MR190DDT engine, primed with GDI technology and turbocharger intercooler, realizes superior driving performance and higher fuel efficiency.
Pre-orders for SM5 TCE are available from May 23 and official sales will begin from June 3. The suggested retail price is set at 27.1 million won.
