SEOUL, KOREA – South Korean MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) Annex Telecom announced on Thursday that will offer the “Zero Basic Monthly Rate” payment plan to the first 10,000 subscribers.
Since subscribers to Annex Telecom’s “Zero Basic Monthly Rate” payment plan have no need to pay the minimum monthly fare, they will pay for exactly what they used monthly. Of course, they can still sign up for additional voice call or data services in tandem with their mobile phone use patterns.
On top of that, there is no membership fee upfront. As long as users have their USIM cards, Annex Telecom’s first 100,000 subscribers can activate their phones without paying money at all.
For those who heavily use data, Annex Telecom will also launch 100M, 500M, and 1G data-only plans. The 100M data plan will charge subscribers KRW 5,000 monthly, the 500M data plan KRW 10,000 and the 1G data plan KRW 15,000.

알뜰폰 사업자 에넥스텔레콤, 0원 요금제 출시
알뜰폰 사업자 에넥스텔레콤이 선착순 1만명을 대상으로 기본료 0원 요금제를 제공한다고 13일 밝혔다.
0원 요금제는 기본료 0원에 음성, 문자, 데이터를 사용하는 만큼 요금을 납부할 수 있다. 통화 패턴에 맞게 음성, 데이터 부가서비스를 가입해 보다 알뜰하게 사용이 가능하다.
가입비도 면제다. 보유하고 있는 본인 유심으로 가입한다면 가입 시 발생되는 요금이 전혀 없다. 0원 요금제는 14일부터 선착순 1만명에게 제공된다.
에넥스텔레콤은 데이터 위주로 휴대폰을 사용하는 고객들을 위해 100M, 500M, 1G 데이터만 포함돼 있는 요금제를 함께 출시한다. 데이터 부가서비스 금액만으로 사용할 수 있기 때문에 실질적으로 0원요금제나 마찬가지다.
100M데이터가 포함된 요금제는 월 5000원, 500M데이터가 포함된 요금제는 월 1만원, 1G데이터가 포함되어 있는 요금제는 월 1만5000원에 제공한다.
