SEOUL, KOREA – South Korean telecom operator KT said Tuesday that it has exclusively launched Pantech’s LTE smartphone “Vega Racer 2 Bling.”
The Vega Racer 2 Bling - an upgraded version of the Vega Racer 2, and is the second KT-exclusive LTE smartphone – comes with a 4.8-inch HD display and the Android Jellybean OS. It also boasts the “Smart Save System,” which enhances battery efficiency, and voice command functions.
The ex-works price of the Vega Racer 2 Bling is KRW 399,300, but there are also discounts in rates available in combination with other LTE Olleh services, or with the use of KT affiliate cards.
Those who buy the Vega Bling will also receive a “Bling Bling LED light-emitting case.” The LED case absorbs the magnetic fields oozing out of the smartphones to flash LED lights when there is an incoming call or when the user turns on the screen.
“We launched the Vega Bling with a specially-designed LED case. We will continue to release a variety of KT-exclusive smartphones in the future to live up to various customers’ demands,” said KT Mobile Device Director Lee Hyun-suk.

KT, 30만원대 팬택 `베가블링` 단독 출시
KT는 팬택 롱텀에벌루션(LTE)폰 `베가레이서2 블링(이하 베가블링)`을 단독으로 출시했다고 2일 밝혔다.
KT의 두 번째 전용 LTE폰인 베가블링은 기존 베가레이서2의 업그레이드 버전으로 운용체계(OS)를 젤리빈으로 업그레이드했다. 4.8인치 HD 디스플레이를 탑재했고 스마트 세이브 시스템을 적용해 배터리 효율을 최적화했다. 음성인식 기능도 제공한다.
출고가는 39만9300원이며, 결합할인과 제휴카드 할인 등으로 저렴하게 구매할 수 있다.
베가블링을 구입하면 블랙과 핑크 두가지 색상의 `블링블링 LED 라이팅 케이스`를 제공한다. 케이스는 배터리를 연결할 필요 없이 스마트폰에서 나오는 자기장을 흡수해 발광하는 제품으로 전화를 걸거나 받을 때, 화면을 켰을 때 불빛이 나온다.
이현석 KT 모바일단말담당 상무는 “독특한 기능의 케이스를 고객 개성에 따라 즐길 수 있도록 베가블링을 출시했다”며 “향후에도 고객 특성에 맞춘 다양한 전용 단말기를 출시하겠다”고 말했다.
