SEOUL, KOREA - LG Electronics is set to unveil its upcoming strategic model “LG G2” in New York next month. The company sent a letter of invitations for the LG G2 Day event to about 500 global media outlets on July 23.The LG G2 Day event is slated to be held on August 7 at the “Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at Lincoln Center in the neighborhood of the Central Park in New York. This would be the first time for LG Electronics to show off its new smartphone model in New York. The move reflects its confidence in the quality of the new smartphone.
LG Electronics selected New York as the venue for the unveiling of the LG G2 since the United States is the world’s largest smartphone market and New York is the center of global media.
Along with the distribution of the invitation letters, LG Electronics also aired a guide video on this event through its electric sign boards in New York’s Time Square and London’s Piccadilly Theater. This event will be broadcast live through the LG mobile site, Facebook, and YouTube. LG G2 is mounted with a Qualcomm SnapDragon 800 processor compatible with 150Mbps LTE-A.
