SEOUL, KOREA- Hyundai Mobis announced on October 16 that it has completed the construction of an “electronic device R&D center” which will be responsible for research and development of core eco-friendly autoparts and electronic devices for intelligent vehicles. The R&D center, which required an investment of 60 billion won, is located inside the Hyundai Mobis technology research institute in Yongin.
Together with the completion of the R&D center, Hyundai Mobis also presented its mid- and long-term R&D strategy, under which it will invest 1.8 trillion won by 2015, starting from this year, while increasing the number of its R&D staff in and outside of Korea up to 2,300 from the current 1,800.
