RealCerti

a RealCerti ID system which is designed to prevent the distribution of knock-off goods

A medium-sized firm has succeeded in developing a new holographic identification certification solution that can replace the conventional radio-frequency identification (RFID) system.  The solution named RealCerti (www.realcerti.com) can be used to prevent the distribution of knock-off goods.

Dinnovan (www.dinnovan.com), a Korean communications solution developer, said on Tuesday, May 26, that it has filed an application for a patent for a RealCerti solution it has developed to help customers certify the authenticity of brand products based on the certification number given to each product.

RealCerti encodes the PIN and image of each product to prevent malicious attempts to steal PINs from the RealCerti server. If anybody makes even only one malicious attempt to obtain certification with the PIN shown on a fake product, the manufacturer of the genuine brand goods will be automatically notified of the fake products.
