SEOUL, KOREA - Hyundai Mobis jumped two spots to No. 6 in the global autoparts supplier ranking. Including Hyundai Mobis, there are a total of six Korean autoparts suppliers included in the global top 100.
According to a U.S. auto magazine Automotive News, Hyundai Mobis saw its original equipment parts sales reach $24.7 billion last year, ranking No. 6 among the world’s major autoparts companies.
Among the global top-100 autoparts companies, Hyundai Mobis achieved the highest growth of 16 percent, far higher than the top-10 companies’ average growth of 6.2 percent.
Germany’s Bosch and Japan’s Denso kept their No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively, with original equipment parts sales of $40.2 billion and $34.9 billion.Following them were Magna of Canada with $34.4 billion and Continental AG of Germany with $33.5 billion.
Other Korean companies included in the top-100 list include Hyundai Wia, Mando, Hyundai Powertech, and Hyundai Dymos.
