SEOUL, KOREA - Kia Motors held a new car presentation for its brand-new Sorento at Grand Intercontinental Hotel in Seoulon August 28.The new Sorento is a 3G model following the 1G model released in 2002 and Sorento R released in 2009.
The New Sorento is built based on Kia Motors’ state-of-the-art technologies in the areas of design, driving performance, and safety.
Under the concept of “Upper Class SUV,” the New Sorento boasts elegant interior and exterior design, excellent space utilization, sedan-like driving performance, and the application of ultrahigh tensile steels.
Under the development project “UM,” Kia Motors spent 42 months and 450 billion won to develop the new Sorento.
The 3G Sorento has six different external colors—snow white pearl, aurora black pearl, silky pearl, metal stream, platinum graphite, and imperial bronze, plus two different internal colors—black and brown.
Kia Motors aims to sell 5,000 units of the New Sorento in a month this year and 270,000 units next year, including 50,000 at home.
