PARIS, FRANCE - Marc Boillot, Chairman of the G3-PLC Alliance: "After the interim certification set up in March 2014, the Official and Worldwide certification will now support the G3-PLC™ market, and will securethe tenders launched by the utilities. Certification will guarantee the correct implementation of the G3-PLCspecifications, the performance and the interoperability of the products".
The certification process is available for all current and future members of the G3-PLC Alliance. Certification coverschipsets and a wide range of G3-PLC products including Meters, Data Concentrators and Home Energy Management Systems manufactured by the members of the G3-PLC Alliance.
The G3-PLC Certification Program covers conformance, performance and interoperability testing. Products that have been awarded with the G3-PLC Certificate are conforming to the G3-PLC specifications, fulfilling defined performancerequirements and are interoperable with other G3-PLC certified devices. The certification process opens September1st for chipsets and covers Cenelec A, ARIB (Japan Route B) as well as FCC bandplan. Certification for products isplanned to open October 1st.
The G3-PLC Alliance has appointed two member companies to run the certifications tests, LAN and TÜV Rheinland:
- LAN is a French based company located in Tauxigny, France. LAN will perform the certification tests in theirfacilities located in Europe (Tauxigny, France).
- TÜV Rheinland is a German company with worldwide offices. TUV Rheinland will perform the certification tests intheir facilities in Asia (Yokohama, Japan).
