An exciting new range of RF over fibre products will be among technologies showcased by ETL Systems, a global designer and manufacturer of RF distribution equipment for satellite communications, at this year’s IBC exhibition.
StingRay, which will be displayed at ETL’s booth 1.A33, in Hall 1, is designed to address the growing number of teleports which require reliable short distance fibre links. The range includes options for indoor and outdoor applications, offering the highest level of redundancy while maintaining the best quality of signal.
The compact product also features local, as well as remote control, and its hot-swap fibre modules can be part populated, helping teleport engineers to design fibre links within budget.
“This is the most compact unit of its kind on the market, capable of fitting the greatest number of hot-swap transmit and receive fibre modules in the smallest space,” said Dr Esen Bayar, Technical Director of ETL Systems. “We have focussed on excellent module to module isolation and low IMD3 ensuring maximum efficiency in spectrum usage. We are looking forward to launching our StingRay outdoor weatherproof enclosure (ODU) at this year’s IBC. This new product provides a robust solution for outdoor applications.”
ETL will celebrate the IBC premiere of StingRay with a special cocktail event at its booth from 5pm to 6pm on Saturday. A second event will be held on Sunday between 9.30am and 12pm to introduce International Sales Manager Mather Ali to the company’s Turkish customers.
Visitors to IBC will also be able to view ETL’s new Dextra range of web-enabled professional splitters and combiners to cover the L-band frequency, as well as the “V series” matrix family, which includes the 128x128 high-density Vulcan matrix and 64x64 Vortex matrix.
With 25 years of experience in designing award-winning RF equipment and benefitting from dedicated in-house RF and test engineers, ETL representatives will also be available to talk to customers about tailor-made solutions to fit their exact needs.
