INCHEON, KOREA - Incheon International Airport’s duty-free shop “Airstar Avenue” won the World’s Best Duty-free Shop Award at the 2014 Business Traveler Asia-Pacific Awards which was held in Hong Kong on September 26.
The travel magazine Business Traveler, the organizer of the award, selected the award-winners on the basis of the survey it conducted with the users of global airports during the period from April to June 2014.
Airstar Avenue said that its ongoing effort to create more comfortable shopping environment, the operation of a local brand shop to cope with the Korean Wave fever, and the provision of cultural contents which it runs for 365 days a year, were highly recognized.
Incheon International Airport’s duty-free shop has been named by the Asia-Pacific edition of the Business Traveler as the world’s best duty-free shop for four straight years starting from 2011.
An Airstar Avenue official said, “We will continue to strive to sustain our reputation as the world’s best duty-free shop by placing more focus on creating better shopping ambience and promoting a variety of marketing activities.”
