SEOUL, KOREA - Able C&C said on September 29 that it has opened its ninth and tenth Missha shops in Kazakhstan, including Aport Mall located in the southern outskirts of Almaty and Mega Park near the city center.
According to the company, this was the decision based on the brisk sales of its BB cream in the Central Asian nation recently.
The first-half sales revenue for Missha was US$1.8 million, up more than double from $750,000 a year ago. Lately, the sales of essence cream and skincare products are also on the rise.
Lee Gwang-seop, Able C&C senior manager in charge of overseas promotion, said, "Almaty is the largest city in Central Asia in terms of purchasing power and we expect to see a big growth in sales revenue from these two new stores. Once we succeed in Kazakhstan, we will accelerate our forays in other national markets elsewhere within the region."
