SEOUL, KOREA - YG Entertainmentannounced on October 2 that it is launching a new brand Moon Shot, makingforays into the cosmetics business.
A year ago, YG had formeda partnership with a cosmetics firm Coson. The two parties established aseparate business entity which is made up of high-caliber people with abundantexperiences in cosmetics business.YG is responsible for branding, while Cosonis engaged in R&D and production.
YG plans to foster MoonShot as a total cosmetics brand that focuses on color cosmetics targeting youngwomen in their 20s and 30s. It will release 21 types of basic cosmetics, 23kinds of base makeup, and 162 kinds of color cosmetics.
YG held the launchingparty “Moon Tanning Party” at Platoon Kunsthalle in Seoul’s Gangnam on the sameday. During the party, YG will introduce flagship items and brandimage.Starting from the middle of this month, YG will open online and offlineflagship stores.
