The 12th meeting, which kicked off on September 29 at at the Alpensia Convention Center, Pyeongchang, S. Korea, is scheduled to wrap up on October 17.
The wireless Internet servies, based on the portable Xirrus Wi-Fi solution, have made it much easier to host such a big intentional event in a high-tech, upscale manner, the organizing committee for the 12th meeting says.
The Xirrus portable Wi-Fi solution, supplied by Bigsun Systems, is high-performance Wi-Fi equipment that promises low maintenance and installiation costs: using the Xirrus portable Wi-Fi solution enbles cutting the number of APs required for other wireless LAN systems by as much as 25%.
Providing wireless Interent services in a seamless fashion throughout the event has not only cemented S. Korea’s interntional standing as a global IT powerhouse but also succssfuly projected S. Korea as an ideal place for hosting intentional conventions, an official from the organizing committee for the 12th meeting says.
