Samsung Electronics is set to reveal Tizen TV at the world’s largest electronics show CES which will be held in Las Vegasin January next year.
Kim Hyun-Seok, president of the consumer electronics division at Samsung Electronics, said on December 10 that Samsung will show off Tizen TV within next year. This can be interpreted that Samsung will likely to unveil Tizen TV at CES which has a global reputation as the world’s most prestigious electronics trade show.
Starting from last year, Samsung Electronics has been leading the Tizen alliance which was formed to foster Tizen as an alternative to Apple iOS and Google Android.Samsung is expanding the application of the Tizen operating system from smartphones toward smart home electronics such as TVs and refrigerators, and automobile driving systems.
The company is also expected to reveal a Quantum Dot TV at the upcoming CES. Kim, however, declined comments on when the Quantum Dot TV will be released.
