Samsung has announced that it will be launching its SUHD TV series in Korea this month.
Kim Hyun-Suk, president of visual display business at Samsung Electronics, said during the SUHD TV presentation meeting held on February 5, “We decided to set the price of the SUHD TV at $5,000 to 7,000 and the premium range of Tizen-powered TVs will be available in four sizes – 55-inches, 65-inches, 78-inches, and 88-inches."
The SUHD TV is a premium version of UHD TV whose color reproduction is higher than that of existing UHD TVs.
Including the SUHD TV, Samsung plans to use the Tizen operating system for all of its current and future smart TVs. It also has a quick connect function that enables users to enjoy smartphone videos through TV with a single touch or vice versa.
