The special set dinner menu includes assorted cold dishes with spring bamboo; steamed vegetables, shrimp and pork wrapped with dried tofu skin; Peking style roast duck; Buddha jumps over the wall with bamboo shoots; braised sea cucumber with diced pork belly; deep-fried lobster with Szechwan style hot sauce; noodle soup with kidney beans and minced beef; and special desserts.

“Nutrient-rich bamboo shoots are perfect for adding crunch to Chinese cuisine, so for this special course menu, Hong Yuan has decided to combine aromatic bamboo shoots with other flavorful ingredients,” said Chef Soo-joo Jung at Hong Yuan.

Bamboo shoots are ideal food for people who want to lose weight. A 100 gram serving of bamboo shoots contains only 13 calories. Bamboo shoots are also rich in dietary fiber, as well as vitamins and minerals. Consuming sufficient amounts of bamboo shoots is beneficial for easy digestion and strengthening the body from the inside out.
