Surplus Global(www.surplusglobal.com), the world’s leading company in semiconductor secondhand equipment has donated its four units to probe semiconductors to Inter-university Semiconductor Research Center (ISRC) of Seoul National University (SNU).
SNU’s ISRC has a plan to research CMOS, MEMS, BIO, Display, Ⅲ-Ⅴwith the donated units, the base equipment necessary for the research of semiconductor and elements. It is expected that they will contribute to enhancing the research capabilities since it will be used to measure the thickness of dielectric film and the resistivity of contactless Wafer and film, observe the pattern formation, do a microscopic examination and remove moisture after Wet process in the CMOS area.
Kim Jung-woong, Surplus Global’s CEO said, “I think the donation should not be a one-time event but a routine one for social contribution,” and promised that he would constantly donate equipment to SNU ISRC.
Meanwhile, Surplus Global has recorded its revenue of 3 trillion KRW and the world’s leading company in semiconductor secondhand market. For the past fifteen years, it has supplied 15,000 secondhand units for the electronics like semiconductor pre and post step, Display, LED, Solar and Medical equipment. Surplus Global has its exhibition displaying 1,200 units in Osan city, Gyeonggi-do Province, and also has overseas branches in the U.S., China and Taiwan.
