On July 9, Hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the City of Daejeon, Nano-Connect 2015 opened at the KAL Hotel in Cheju with those in industry, academia, and research institutions in attendance to discuss ways to advance Korea’s burgeoning nano-convergence sector and to support small/medium-sized businesses and venture enterprises.

Forums will be held to foster the exchange of information between industry and research and to devise strategies for investing in convergence technology.

Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM), Korea Institute of Energy
Research (KIER), Korea Institute of Materials Science (KIMS), Korea Electronics Technology Institute (KETI), and Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) presented cutting-edge nano-convergence technologies.

Nano-Connect 2015 is another example of the Park administration’s extremely focused efforts to rejuvenate the economy based on innovation in science and technology and offers a glimpse into the blueprint upon which this is based – creative economy. Essentially a matchmaking service, this venue makes possible the commercialization of nano-related technological innovations.

This event was organized by the Organization for Nano-convergence and Industrial Cooperation and Korea Biotechnology Industry Organization and sponsored by Korea Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology, Office of Nano-Convergence. Nano-Connect 2015 will be held until Friday July 10.
