Shinsegae Group plans to launch a new mobile payment system called “SSG Pay” on July 23. SSG Pay can be used at Shinsegae Group-affiliated units, including Shinsegae Department Store and E-Mart.
Chung Yong-Jin, vice chairman of Shinsegae Group, revealed through his Facebook page, “SSG Pay will make the entire process of payment very simple.” SSG Pay can be used by downloading the SSG Pay application and charging it with e-currency SSG money or using the credit card registered in the SSG Pay account.
SSG Pay will be available at most of Shinsegae-affiliated shops and stores, including Shinsegae Department Store, E-Mart, WithMe convenience stores, Starbucks, Premium Outlet, and SSG.com.
The new mobile payment service boasts a variety of automatic features, including automatic point accumulation, automatic issuance of e-receipt or cash receipt, and automatic payment of parking fees.
