The Korea Display Industry Association, chaired by Kwon Young-soo, will hold the 9th International Meeting on Information Display (IMID 2009) at Exhibition Hall Four of KINTEX in Ilsan from Oct. 13 until Oct. 16. This IMID 2009 Exhibition will be the largest of its kind ever held so far, as it will co-host the Korea Electronics Show (KES), the International Semiconductor Exhibition (i-SEDEX) and IT Convergence Korea 2009 at the same time. This will be the perfect opportunity to provide an opportunity to observe whole sectors of the IT industry in Korea and other major foreign countries. One hundred and twenty companies from ten countries including the US, Japan, Germany, China and Taiwan are expected to participate at the exhibition.
Major exhibition items will be comprised of ultra-modern technology products such as LED-TVs, E-paper, DID, 3D Display and high-definition OLEDs. A seminar titled On International Information Display and Trade Affairs Inviting Buyers from Overseas Countries will also be held during the exhibition. More than thirty foreign buyers will be invited and will have an individual interview with seventy domestic display manufacturers. During the exhibition, the International Flat Display Standardization Forum is scheduled to be held to present papers on the prospects of display technologies and the proposals for the standardization of flat displays. Finally, the ceremony for the 9th International Information Display Award will be held.
The IMID 2009 Exhibition is sponsored by the Korea Display Industry Association and the Korean Information Display Society with the support of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, NIKKEI BP and the government of Gyeonggi Province. Three hundred and one booths for one hundred and twenty companies will be prepared at the exhibition and more than sixty thousand people are expected to attend. Major companies participating in the exhibition include Samsung Electronics, LG Display, SFA, ADP Engineering, Jusung Engineering, Cannon, Top Engineering, DMS, Semes, Dongjin Semichem, Dongwoo Fine-Chem, Merck, Shinsung FA and Chungnam Techno Park Display Center.
