TG & Company, an affiliate of Sambo Computer, launched into the smartphone business by releasing its first smartphone model Luna. Luna is a mid-range smartphone with a 400,000 won-level price. It is planned and designed by TG & Company and produced by Foxconn, a Taiwanese supplier of Apple.
SK Telecom announced on August 31 that it will start selling Luna smartphone models from September 4, with pre-order sales slated for September 1-3. Luna employs a metallic material for its trim and rear side, offering a feel of elegance. Other features include a 5.5-inch full HD display and a 2.5-GHz Quadcore application. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera, with the front camera having 8 million pixels.
An SK Telecom official said, “Luna is available at a relatively cheap price, although its function is not inferior to that of premium models. It could attract much attention from budget-conscious consumers.”
