The 2015 Korea-US ICT Forum was held on September 1 at Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas, hosted by the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), Korean American Chamber of Commerce, Washington (KACCWA) and Washington Technology Industrial Association (WTIA).
At the forum, aimed at promoting information exchanges and building a cooperative network between Korean and American ICT companies, Washington State’s ICT ecosystem, industrial trends, Washington-based ICT companies, hospitals and start-ups were introduced and discussions on cloud-based IoT and IoT-based healthcare took place.
On top of that, representatives from Washington-based companies (engaged in healthcare, IT consulting, energy and medicine, etc.) sat down with representative from Korean companies, institutions, schools, etc. in order to talk about each nation’s investment environment and share their opinions on ways to take the IoT industry to new heights.
“KISA will help Korean startups have a better understanding of the global IoT ecosystem and throw its weight behind their efforts to break into overseas markets including the US,” said KISA President Baik Kee-seung.
