South Korean builder Samsung C&T said on November 25 that it has clinched a $390 million deal with Singapore’s Land Transport Authority (LTA) to construct Marine Parade MRT station (T307 section) on the 43-kilometer Thompson-East Coast Line (TEL), which links northern parts of Singapore’s with Changi Airport.
Under the deal, Samsung C&T will build a 2,684-meter TMB (tunnel boring machine) tunnel, a 343-meter cut-and-cover tunnel and a two-story underground subway station in Marine Parade, an area located in southeastern Singapore.
In Singapore, the company has already completed the C703, C908, and C156 sections of the DTL (Downtown Line) and is currently working on the C922 and C923 sections of the same line, as well as a transfer station in Caldecott and the Thomson Line's 379-meter-long 213 section.
