Samsung C&T Corporation said on Thursday it was selected as a priority negotiator to be in charge of Canada's hydroelectric dam construction.
Samsung became a priority negotiator for the Site-C project, ordered by Canada's power public company British Columbia, by forming a consortium with Spanish construction company Acciona and Canada's construction firm Petrowest.
Its total construction fee is 1.5 trillion won and Samsung C&T Corporation reportedly has a 37.5 percent stake of the project. Samsung will complete the negotiation for the details with the client and is set to begin the real contract early 2016.
