POSCO is set to exclusively supply its aluminum steel sheets for the U.S. auto parts company for four straight years.
The steel maker said on Sunday it signed a deal with the U.S. based AP Emissions Technologies to supply its steel sheets amounting to 10,000 tons for the next four years.
This steel sheets, also known as super alcosta, has the same level of thermal resistance and machinability of identical products and three times stronger in enduring corrosion, the company said.
POSCO succeeded in mass producing the aluminum steel sheets since it started development five years ago to gain upper hand in the global market.
The official of the steel maker said, "We could ink the deal as AP is attempting to make all of its products premium."
