Shanghai - November 10 - At the Asia Electronics Fair Shanghai 2009, Jack Lee, senior manager of International Sales and Marketing for GT Telecom, calmly sits at his booth while others bustle around him. He is one of the few, the proud, the early. His booth sits prepared to attract Chinese buyers to finally enter into the Chinese market with their cutting edge Bluetooth headsets.
"First and foremost, we are looking for a new business partner in China," said Mr. Lee. "We now export our products to Japan, northern Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia. We are looking to expand." He said that this is the first time to attend a trade show in mainland China, although his company attends the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, CeBIT in Germany, and the Hong Kong Electronics Show religiously. He also said that next year his company will attend the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona. He hopes for as good results here as he has seen in other events.
"We have a very unique product, so it sells well in the Korean market," he explained. Even though GT Telecom is not an international giant, its products rank fourth in the Bluetooth market. He also confidently said, "Our products are as good or better quality than others on the market."
Even though his company doesn't have the resources of an international electronics giant, he is confident that they can still make an impact in the Chinese marketplace. He agreed that there were many low-end Bluetooth makers in China, but excellent technologies were absent. GT Telecom is aiming to fill that empty niche.
