Seoul Semiconductor said Tuesday it posted 1.1 trillion won in sales last year, a 7.7 percent rise from the previous year thanks to the stable growth in lighting, IT and auto business.
Its operating profits stood at 45.6 billion won, an increase of 1,684 percent during the past one year.
The local semiconductor firm’s sales in 2013 hit 1 trillion won but its sales dropped again the following year due to the fierce competition in the LED industry.
The firm said its unique products such as Wicop left with chip and fluorescent substances after doing away with its LED Acrich has led the sales growth last year.
The lighting sales grew in the IT sector and daytime running light in the auto sector also saw an increase in supply.
Seoul Semiconductor predicted that it would post 220 billion won to 240 billion won in sales in the first quarter of this year.
