Q: What is your purpose to visit GMV 2009

A: First, I came here for learning and understanding the information technology of the Korean IT industry, especially the hardware and software of mobile phones.  I want to combine it with KONKA's business, so I want to get higher competitive future strategy in IT area than now. Second, I want to find some business partners to improve KONKA's future.

Q: What were the three most impressive companies you met during the buyer's meetings

A: Well, I think there were 3 companies that I was most impressed with - Shell-line, Jaeyoung Solutec, and Crucial Tec.  I was especially impressed with the optical joystick of Crucial Tec.

Q: Can you briefly tell me about your company

A: Konka is the electronics manufacturing company which has the 5th most cell phone market share in China. Konka is also producing electric appliances like TV and air conditioning systems. Especially, Konka has the biggest market share of TV channels equivalent to Samsung Electronics. Konka will invest more money, effort and power to the mobile market, and also by benchmarking global companies Konka will contribute to the mobile industry of China.

Q: What are the strengths of your company

A: I think the strongest point is our cost-effective products. Even though the price is very low, the quality of the products is very good and reasonable. For example, I cannot say the specific name of the company, but Konka has a relationship with a famous global company as an OEM, an original equipment manufacturer. I'm sure that Konka offers very powerful competition because of the quality versus the price.

Q: What is the most impressive overall event in GMV 2009

A: I was pretty excited because of two. One is the very varied programs of GMV 2009. It was absolutely useful. I learned a lot from conferences of global companies like SKT and KT, and I saw many kinds of new technology products which were made with mobile enterprises.  Among the products I was so amazed because of the software which is the mobile application program, it was greatly diverse and included plenty of mobile content.

The other is mobile marketing. I was very touched about the marketing strategy of SK Telecom and KT, and I surely think it is the future direction of Konka's marketing and the mobile marketing of all of China too.

Q: Do you have any other comments about GMV 2009

A: I hope that Konka will do a good business through GMV 2009 by cooperating with Korea and global companies, moreover KONKA will contribute to China. Lastly, I appreciate KOTRA very much to give me a chance to participate in GMV 2009. I want to come back next year.
