SK Telecom (SKT), the largest telecom operator in South Korea, has equipped Munhak Baseball Stadium in Incheon with a 63 x 18 m video screen (about 1,138 square meters), nearly three times the size of a basketball court.

SKT’s smart signage solution has been applied to the world’s largest video screen, so it will interact with your smartphone if you download ‘PLAY With,’ an app for SK Wyverns Baseball Club, to your phone.

Though the app, baseball fans can access a variety of sportainment services from the moment they enter the stadium. They can check information on games, players and the stadium and participate in entertainment events. SKT plans to launch the service in earnest on April 1 when the regular season kicks off.

Spectators can take part in the Home Run Game: Guess Who Will Hit a Home Run Today and other quiz games simply by connecting their smartphone to the video screen. They can also obtain batter versus pitcher matchup stats and statistical data related to the ongoing game. Supportive messages posted by fans on SK Wyverns’s facebook and twitter accounts will also flash up on the video screen.

What’s more, roulette games will be played on the video screen; roulette winners will get a free seat upgrade or merrily take home gifts.

SKT’s cloud-based smart signage solution enables consolidated deliver of various forms of multimedia contents to users in various locations and real-time interaction with social networking services.
