SK C&C, the information technology (IT) service arm of SK Group, has joined hands with Alibaba Cloud, a subsidiary of Alibaba Group, one of the world's largest e-commerce companies, in order to enter the Chinese cloud market.
SK C&C said on April 26 that it had signed a cloud partnership with Alibaba Cloud in Pangyo.
Alibaba Cloud, China’s largest cloud service provider, owns large cloud data centers across China and in Hong Kong.
Under the partnership, SK C&C plans to build ‘SK C&C-Alibaba Cloud Portal’ that interoperates with Alibaba Cloud’s cloud services and to develop and run its own cloud services.
SK C&C will take care of all the aspects of customers’ access to Alibaba Cloud’s cloud services. In addition, SK C&C will monitor customers’ networks and systems around the clock, manage technical glitches and allocate and manage Alibaba Cloud infrastructure resources.
