The former Medit developers were indicted for the unjust enrichment by stealing the core technology of Medit, a manufacturer of 3D scanners, and founding a company of same industry on a charge of imprisonment.
Mr. Park(CEO of D Company, 40) and Mr. Shim(Senior Developer of D company, 42), who worked 10 years for Medit, were suspected of unjust enrichment amounting to millions of US Dollar through operating D company by way of stealing the core technology, trade secrets, and hiring the staff members of Medit.
The two Defendants, Mr. Park and Mr. Shim, have been indicted on charges of allegedly stealing the very core technology that Medit had invested approximately 17 million US dollar for the development on this new core technology.
The Prosecutor of the Seoul Central District Court requested the court sentence to Mr. Park and Mr. Shim for a term of imprisonment of 4 years as directed by the Unfair Competition Prevention and Trade Secret Protection Act.
The final judgment on the two Denfendants, currently placed on parole, will be made on June 16, 2016.
