Samsung Electronics and KEB Hana Bank have formed a business partnership to promote the development of new FinTech technologies and expanding the presence in global FinTech markets.
Under the terms of the agreement, they will carry out joint studies in launching new FinTech-based financial services. The joint studies will cover the areas of mobile certification service, customer loyalty point business, and online payment.
They will also cooperate in expanding the presence of their FinTech services in the global markets by leveraging their global networks.
KEB Hana Bank expects this tie-up to contribute to strengthening the function of its strategic product Hana Members. Hana Members is a service that allows users to collect "Hana Money," points given based on the user's transaction performance, and use it like cash. The number of "Hana Member" users recently passed the 5-million mark.
