Korea Electric Power Corp. (KEPCO) has won the "CIO 100 Awards" for the second consecutive year.
Along with IBM and Siemens, KEPCO won the awards on Aug. 16 in a ceremony held in Springs, Colorado, the U.S., a KEPCO spokesman said.
In particular, KEPCO is the sole company among electronic power makers to receive the award that IDG, a world-famous research institution, grants to a company with creative and outstanding results in the ICT field.
KEPCO has been recognized for its innovative efforts to develop and commercialize elementary technology of the advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), the spokesman said.
