[Berlin, Germany] Smartphones swimming in the water, customized headphones, a self-watering garden or a waist-high service robot – journalists discovered a plenty of innovations at ShowStoppers@IFA on Thursday.

“You turn the corner and step directly into a story you would never expect”, said David Phelan, author of Time Out London and The Independent.

ShowStoppers@IFA is an advantage for my work to have so many companies in one spot. If I would have to go through all the halls at IFA, I wouldn’t manage to write as many stories and talk to as many exhibitors as I can do here.“ said Andreas Nolde from Chip.

 

Huawei Keynote: strategic visions of the worldwide third biggest smart phone manufacturer

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group will provide exclusive insights into the strategic visions of the worldwide third largest smartphone manufacturer.

The focus is on artificial intelligence (AI). Huawei already teased via the hashtag #HuaweiMobileAI that we can expect the unexpected from the new AI. It will be launched on September 2nd at IFA. In his keynote speech on Saturday at 2 pm at IFA NEXT (Hall 26b), Richard Yu will reveal, what the new AI has to offer consumers and why Huawei's latest innovation will make its smart devices truly intelligent companions to consumers.

UX Design Awards - innovative and intuitive
The UX Design Awards honor excellent intuitive products, services and visions worldwide. The singular competition focus emphasizes the extraordinary importance of seamless human-technology interaction in all spheres of life. Out of more than hundreds of submissions, the jury already selected 48innovative products, services and concept studies which are displayed at IFA between 1 and 6 of September.

Furthermore, the Internationales Design Zentrum Berlin cordially invites IFA professionals and the public to attend the festive Award Ceremony on Saturday, 6pm in the new show innovation area, IFA NEXT (hall 26a). Round about ten product solutions will be honored. Last hall entry: 5.45 pm.

IFA Influencer Walk 2017 completely booked out
IFA is the perfect place to get in contact with branch pioneers and influencers. Therefore the influencer-marketing platform blogfoster organized a round tour through IFA to present innovations and trends from selected companies to bloggers and interested influencers. They will get insights into the brands and companies and have the chance to test the new products onsite.

The IFA Influencer Walk starts on September 2nd at 11 am in hall 26/217a. „The walk met great interest among bloggers and influencers. That’s why we are already booked out. The bloggers are really looking forward to get in touch with the brands”, said Michelle Bertram, marketing manager of blogfoster.

Guided Tours for hot topics at IFA 2017
IFA and IFA Global Markets provide trade visitors and media exclusive guided tours about the latest branch topics.

A maximum of 15 participants at each tour will get insights into selected exhibitors. The guided tours take two hours and are held in German and English simultaneously. Topics are: TV, Smart Mobile, Healthcare, Virtual Reality, Smart Living, AI & Robotics, Connected Kitchen, Automotive, Startups@IFA.

Between 10 and 12 am as well as from 13.15 until 15.15 pm, the tours will take place at the main exhibition grounds of IFA. In the IFA Global Markets at the STATION Berlin the guided tours take place between 10.30 until 12.30. Booking possibilities and a detailed overview you will find at the IFA website.
