Smartphones

Different smartphones, including Window Mobile, Android, and Mac smartphones each have their own Operating Systems (OS). However, it has been announced that they will soon share a common application when a new certified standard is released. With this new common application, all smartphones will offer their customers mobile banking solutions.

On March 1, 2010, the Ministry of Public Administration and Security officially announced that they plan to create a certified standard for all smartphones. This standard will place a new folder under the existing 'NPKI' folder in the Android and Window Mobile. In the Mac smartphones, this new common standard will be placed in the 'Keychain' folder.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security also plans to permit the insertion of a USIM chip into smartphones.
