On March 23, 2010, the Korea Electronics Show (KES), one of the largest IT shows in Asia, held a meeting aimed at promoting cooperation with the Communication Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI) and Telecom Equipment Manufacturers' Association of India (TEMA). Thus, KES came up with a plan to invite 100-strong group of buyers from India's information communications companies to South Korea in October of this year.
India, who has the world's second-largest population, has recently emerged as a major market for electronic information communications. In addition, as the 2010 Commonwealth Games is slated to take place in October of this year, India has seen growing demand for information communications infrastructure and consumer electronics goods that can improve the quality of life. Against this backdrop, information communications companies need to set their sights on the Indian market.
