SEOUL, KOREA – November 22, 2007: Samsung Electronics has completed development of a flat panel X-ray detector (FPXD) for radiology machines, in collaboration with Vatech Co. Ltd., a Korean medical machinery manufacturing company. By using digital imaging with thin-film transistor (TFT) technology, the diagnostic process is enhanced in many ways. In addition to delivering a much more precise image, Samsung's new FPXD imaging sensor can save medical labs considerable time and money because no film or development process is needed.

Seoul, November 13th, 2007 - Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in telecommunication network systems and handsets, unveiled four latest Mobile WiMAX devices to the Korean market. The devices have been upgraded from previous Mobile WiMAX devices in terms of design and functions. One PDA type(SPH-M8200), one mobile convergence device(SPH-P9200), and two USB modem type(SPH-H1300, SWT-200K) devices have been launched. All four Mobile WiMAX devices are currently available through Korea Telecom(KT)'s Mobile WiMAX network.

The list of CES Innovations 2008 Awards Honorees was announced on November 14, and it included twelve Samsung audio/video and consumer electronics products -- 4 TVs, 1 MP3 player, 1 home theater system, 1 camcorder, 1 combination HD disc player, 1 set of Bluetooth speakers, 1 refrigerator, and 2 media players.

Korean and Japanese business relations are growing stronger in the technology sector. Two partnerships with Korea Telecom, one with NTT DoCoMo and the other with Sony, are moving closer to completion this month. This is a good sign for closer economic ties between the neighboring countries in future years.
