At the 47th regular shareholders' meeting on March 23, LG Innotek CEO Jeong Chul-dong announced that he plans to make LG Innotek a global leader in the field of FC-BGA and automotive cameras.
“Last year was a difficult business environment due to the trade conflict between the US and China, the war in Ukraine, and the prolonged pandemic,” said CEO Jeong Chul-dong, who chaired the general meeting of shareholders.
“This year is also a difficult situation, but we will maximize corporate value by making it an opportunity for new growth," President Jeong said. "To this end, we will increase business value, customer value, and social value.”
LG Innotek's strategy is to continue qualitative growth based on differentiated technology and quality competitiveness to enhance business value.
President Jeong said, "We will strive to maximize productivity through internalization of the core parts business and acceleration of digital transformation (DX) in the optical solution business."
As for the substrate material business, “We will quickly develop FC-BGA, which has succeeded in mass production, into a global No. 1 business," he said. "We will nurture the electric vehicle and self-driving parts business, such as vehicle cameras, lidar, and power modules, as a new growth axis.”
President Chung plans to actively return business performance to shareholders through business value enhancement. According to the three-year dividend policy, LG Innotek is continuously increasing shareholder value by paying a dividend of KRW 4,150 per share in 2022, which is KRW 1,150 more than the previous year.
He said, "We plan to change all businesses and working methods to customer-centeredness in order to gain customer trust, and to pursue ESG management for sustainable growth."
LG Innotek completed the declaration of carbon neutrality in 2040 and joined the RE100 initiative last year.
Meanwhile, five agendas, including the approval of the 47th financial statements and the appointment of directors, were resolved as proposed during the general shareholders' meeting.
