ABL Life Insurance announced on Sept. 23 that it held an award ceremony for video contents contest for "A Consideration LIFE" at its headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on Sept. 22.

The "A Consideration LIFE" video contents contest was part of ABL Life's "Consideration" campaign, which began on social media in June. It was held for college students from July 1 to Aug. 14 to spread the culture of social consideration through creative videos of young talents.

Under the theme of "Creating a culture of consideration for a better world," participants were allowed to select one of the three topics-- "Consideration for me," "Consideration for each other" and "Consideration for the global environment" and submit video clips made within three minutes.

A total of 82 videos were invited to the contest, and Kim Jung-tae, an adjunct professor of multimedia and video at the Korea National University of Arts, participated as a judge in addition to the internal jury of ABL Life, adding to the fairness of the screening.

ABL Life Insurance selected one winner of the grand prize, one winner of the best prize and six winners of the excellence award after a strict screening process.

All of the selected videos can be viewed on ABL Life's Facebook page and YouTube page and will be used as caring content to create a better world.

The awards ceremony was held only for the winners of the grand prize following the implementation of the social distancing campaign due to the COVID-19. Eun Jae-kyung, head of ABL Life's Products & Marketing Office, attended as a presenter and presented citations and prize money.

Prizes of 5 million won, 2 million won and 500,000 won were awarded to the grand prize, the best prize and the excellence prize, respectively.

Lee Chung-hee's work from Yonsei University's department of journalism and video was selected as the grand prize winner.
Meanwhile, the prize money for the contest was funded by an executive fund raised by ABL Life Insurance CEO Xie Zheqiang and other executives.

ABL Life Insurance executives voluntarily returned part of last year's annual salary and created a joint fund worth 20 million won in an attitude of co-operation and initiative as the COVID-19 hurt the national economy and insurance companies.

The fund will be used for meaningful projects such as the "A Consideration LIFE" video contents contest, the scholarship support project for customers' children, and the award event for outstanding in-house cooperation.
